ARTIST'S STUDIO & GARDEN

My Story

The garden is designed according to sustainable principles. It combines vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers, and perennial plants in a way that promotes biodiversity, healthy soil, and ecological balance. Rather than relying on intensive cultivation, the aim is to work with natural processes and create a resilient, productive environment.

Although I spend a great deal of time in this garden, it is not the subject of my paintings. My work is not about vegetables, gardening, or nature in a literal sense.

The connection between the garden and my artistic practice is indirect. Gardening encourages careful observation, patience, experimentation, and long-term thinking—qualities that are equally important in the studio. Living and working in this environment has become part of my daily routine and provides the setting in which my work develops.

The vegetable garden you are walking through supplies much of the household with fresh produce throughout the year and continues to evolve from season to season. Like the studio, it is an ongoing project that is never truly finished.
